The Calgary Stampeders announced on Friday that they’ve re-signed fullback William Langlais and long-snapper Aaron Crawford to one-year contract extensions through the 2023 season.

William Langlais, a 32-year-old from Hull, Quebec, had six catches for 67 yards, one touchdown, and two tackles in 18 games during the 2022 season. This will be Langlais’s eighth season in Calgary.

The Stampeders drafted Langlais in the third round (27th pick) in the 2015 CFL Draft. In seven seasons in Calgary, Langlais has 20 catches for 261 yards, one touchdown, one carry for three yards, 61 tackles, and one touchdown in 106 games.

Aaron Crawford, a 36-year-old from Medicine Hat, Alberta, had five tackles on special teams during the 2022 season. This will be Crawford’s third season in Calgary and tenth in the CFL.

The Toronto Argonauts drafted Crawford in the sixth round (40th pick) in the 2012 CFL Draft. After the Argonauts released him, Crawford was on the practice squads of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers before signing with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2013.

Crawford played seven seasons in Hamilton with 24 tackles in 98 games making two Grey Cup appearances. In 2021, he signed with the Stampeders, with three tackles on special teams in 14 games.
