The Ottawa Redblacks and offensive lineman Dino Boyd agreed to a two-year contract extension on Thursday through the 2024 season. The 26-year-old from Newark, New Jersey, played 15 games at multiple positions. This will be Boyd’s third season in Ottawa.

Boyd signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2021. He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2019. After the Chiefs released him, he spent time with the New York Jets in 2019.

Collegiately, Boyd played three seasons at Rhode Island (2014, 2016-17) playing 24 games at left tackle. In 2017, the Rams’ offensive line protection helped Rams quarterbacks Tyler Harris and JaJuan Lawson throw for a combined 2,573 yards, the eighth-highest single-season total in team history. In addition, the offensive line allowed JaJuan Lawson to complete .597 percent of his passes, the fourth-best single-season percentage in team history.

After Rhode Island, Boyd transferred to Cincinnati in 2018 playing 13 games at left tackle, earning First-Team All-American Athletic Conference honors.
