Jacob Gaucher scores a goal in a Royals 3-2 loss to Norfolk

On Friday night at the Norfolk Scope. The Reading Royals (16-7-1) had their three-game win streak snapped against the Norfolk Admirals (5-21-1).

Ten minutes and forty-six seconds into the first period. Jacob Gaucher (8) put the Royals up 1-0 with assists from Jordan Timmons and Brendan Hoffmann. Nine minutes and forty seconds later. The Admirals tied it 1-1 by Todd Burgess (3) with assists from Eric Williams and Danny Katic. The score remained tied 1-1 after one period.

After a scoreless second period. The Admirals took a 2-1 lead two minutes and thirty-six seconds into the third period by Carson Musser (4) with assists from Ryan Foss and Danny Katic. Three minutes and six seconds later. The Royals tied it up 2-2 on a power-play goal by Evan Barratt (2) with assists from Charlie Gerard and Garrett McFadden.

Six minutes and twenty-eight seconds later. Norfolk took a 3-2 lead by Mathieu Roy (2) with assists from Ryan Foss and DJ King. Late in the third period, the Royals pulled Kaden Fulcher for an extra attacker but ran out of time. Norfolk won the game 3-2.

The Royals finished the night with 23 shots, 1/4 on the power play, and Kaden Fulcher made 23 saves. On the other side, the Admirals had 26 shots, 0/3 on the power play, and Michael Bullion made 21 saves.
