On Tuesday afternoon at Cramton Bowl, the Buffalo Bulls (MAC) defeated the Georgia Southern Eagles (Sun Belt) by the final score of 23-21 in the Camellia Bowl.
Buffalo quarterback Cole Snyder completed 21 of 38 passes for 265 yards, one touchdown, and four carries for six yards. Running back Tajay Ahmed had 27 carries for 98 yards, one touchdown, and two catches for 17 yards. Wide receivers Justin Marshall (11 catches, 127 yards, one touchdown) and Quian Williams (5 catches, 100 yards) combined with 16 catches for 227 yards, and one touchdown.
Buffalo’s defense allowed 444 yards, with 66 tackles, five pass breakups, and one interception. The Bulls finish the season at 7-6.
Georgia Southern quarterback Kyle Vantrease completed 28 of 45 passes for 352 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and two carries for nine yards. Running back OJ Arnold had 12 carries for 68 yards, and two catches for six yards. Wide receiver Joshua Thompson (1 catch, 79 yards, 1 touchdown) and tight end Jjay Mcafee (4 catches, 35 yards, 1 touchdown) combined with five catches for 104 yards, and two touchdowns.
Georgia Southern defense allowed 387 yards, with 83 tackles, two sacks, and ten pass breakups. The Eagles finish the season at 6-7.
