On Tuesday night at Chase Field. The Wisconsin Badgers (Big Ten) defeated the Oklahoma State Cowboys (Big XII) by the final score of 24-17 in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
Wisconsin quarterback Chase Wolf completed 16 of 26 passes for 116 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Running backs Braelon Allen (22 carries, 116 yards, 1 touchdown) and Chez Mellusi (16 carries, 77 yards, 1 touchdown) combined with 38 carries for 193 yards, and two touchdowns. Tight end Hayden Rucci had two catches for 28 yards, and one touchdown.
Wisconsin’s defense allowed 281 yards, with 44 tackles, one sack, three pass breakups, and two interceptions. The Badgers finish the season at 7-6.
Oklahoma State quarterback Garret Rangel completed 14 of 31 passes for 229 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Running back Ollie Gordon had 12 carries for 45 yards, one catch for one yard, and one touchdown. Wide receiver Stephon Johnson Jr. had one catch for 84 yards and one touchdown.
Oklahoma State’s defense allowed 374 yards, with 78 tackles, two sacks, four pass breakups, and one interception. The Cowboys finish the season at 7-6.
