On Thursday afternoon at Yankee Stadium. The Minnesota Golden Gophers (Big Ten) defeated the Syracuse Orange (ACC) by the final score of 28-20 in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl.

Minnesota quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis completed seven of nine passes for 80 yards. Meanwhile, backup quarterback Tanner Morgan completed four of seven passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Mohamed Ibrahim had 16 carries for 71 yards and one touchdown.

Wide receiver Daniel Jackson had four catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns. Minnesota’s defense allowed 477 yards, with 73 tackles, two sacks, three pass breakups, one interception, and one touchdown. The Golden Gophers finish the season at 9-4.

Syracuse quarterback Garrett Shrader completed 32 of 51 passes for 330 yards, one interception, 14 carries for 38 yards, and two touchdowns. Running back LeQuint Allen had 15 carries for 94 yards, and 11 catches for 60 yards.

Wide receivers Devaughn Cooper (7 catches, 114 yards) and Oronde Gadsden II (7 catches, 78 yards) combined with 14 catches for 192 yards. Syracuse’s defense allowed 213 yards, with 45 tackles, two sacks, and one pass breakup. The Orange finish the season at 7-6.
