On Wednesday night at Petco Park. The Oregon Ducks (PAC 12) defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels (ACC) by the final score of 28-27 in the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl.

Oregon quarterback Bo Nix completed 23 of 30 passes for 205 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and five carries for six yards. Running back Bucky Irving had 13 carries for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receivers Chase Cota (3 catches, 42 yards, 1 touchdown) and Troy Franklin (5 catches, 24 yards, 1 touchdown) combined with eight catches for 66 yards, and two touchdowns.

Oregon’s defense allowed 322 yards, with 63 tackles, two sacks, and six pass breakups The Ducks finishes the season at 10-3.

North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye completed 18 of 35 passes for 206 yards, three touchdowns, and 12 carries for 45 yards. Running back Elijah Green had 17 carries for 50 yards. Wide receivers Kobe Paysour (7 catches, 98 yards, 1 touchdown) and Andre Greene Jr. (3 catches, 26 yards, 1 touchdown) along with tight end Bryson Nesbit (3 catches, 37 yards, 1 touchdown) combined with 13 catches for 161 yards, and three touchdowns.

North Carolina’s defense allowed 414 yards, with 60 tackles, one sack, and two pass breakups. The Tar Heels finishes the season at 9-5.
