Washington Wayne Taulapapa scores a touchdown for Washington in the Alamo Bowl

On Thursday night at the Alamodome. The Washington Huskies (PAC 12) defeated the Texas Longhorns (Big XII) by the final score of 27-20 in the Valero Alamo Bowl.

Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. completed 32 of 54 passes for 287 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and three carries for six yards. Running back Wayne Taulapapa had 14 carries for 108 yards, one touchdown, and three carries for 17 yards.

Wide receivers Jalen McMillan (8 catches, 58 yards, 1 touchdown) and Taj Davis (4 catches, 32 yards, 1 touchdown) combined with 12 catches for 90 yards, and two touchdowns. Washington’s defense allowed 420 yards, with 61 tackles, two sacks, and one pass breakup. The Huskies finish the season at 11-2.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers completed 31 of 47 passes for 369 yards, one touchdown, and four carries for six yards.

Running backs Keilan Robinson (8 carries, 27 yards, 6 catches, 42 yards) and Jonathon Brooks (6 carries, 18 yards, 1 touchdown, 2 catches, 37 yards, 1 touchdown) combined with 14 carries for 45 yards, one touchdown, eight catches for 79 yards, and one touchdown.

Wide receiver Casey Cain (4 catches, 106 yards) and Xavier Worthy (7 catches, 84 yards) combined with 11 catches for 190 yards. Texas finishes the season at 8-5.
