On Saturday afternoon at the Caesars Superdome. The Alabama Crimson Tide (SEC) defeated the Kansas State Wildcats (Big XII) by the final score of 45-20 in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Alabama quarterback Bryce Young completed 15 of 21 passes for 321 yards and five touchdowns. Running backs Jahmyr Gibbs (15 carries for 76 yards) and Jase McClellan (7 carries for 42 yards, 1 touchdown) combined with 22 carries for 118 yards and one touchdown.

Wide receivers Jermaine Burton (3 catches for 87 yards, 1 touchdown), Ja’Corey Brooks (2 catches for 51 yards, 1 touchdown), Kobe Prentice (1 catch for 47 yards, 1 touchdown), Isaiah Bond (1 catch for 6 yards, 1 touchdown), and tight end Cameron Latu (5 catches for 54 yards, 1 touchdown) combined with 12 catches for 245 yards, and five touchdowns.

Alabama’s defense allowed 401 yards, with 75 tackles, two sacks, five pass breakups, and three interceptions. The Crimson Tide finishes the season at 11-2.

Kansas State quarterback Will Howard completed 18 of 35 passes for 210 yards and two interceptions. Running back Deuce Vaughn had 22 carries for 133 yards and one touchdown.

Tight end Ben Sinnott (3 catches for 48 yards), running back DJ Giddens (3 catches for 48 yards), and wide receiver Kade Warner (5 catches for 48 yards) combined for 11 catches for 144 yards.

Kansas’s defense allowed 496 yards, with 52 tackles, two sacks, and one pass breakup. The Wildcats finish the season at 10-4.
