Tennessee wide receiver Bur McCoy catches a touchdown in the Orange Bowl

On Friday night at Hard Rock Stadium. The Tennessee Volunteers (SEC) defeated the Clemson Tigers (ACC) by the final score of 31-14 in the Capital One Orange Bowl.

Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton III completed 19 of 28 passes for 251 yards, three touchdowns, and 11 carries for five yards. Running backs Jaylen Wright (11 carries for 89 yards) and Jabari Small (13 carries for 38 yards, and one touchdown) combined with 24 carries for 127 yards and one touchdown.

Wide receivers Squirrel White (9 catches for 108 yards, 1 touchdown), Ramel Keyton (4 catches for 76 yards, 1 touchdown), and Bru McCoy (4 catches for 48 yards, 1 touchdown) combined with 17 catches for 232 yards, and three touchdowns.

Tennessee’s defense allowed 320 yards, with 79 tackles, four sacks, seven pass breakups, and two interceptions. The Volunteers finish the season at 11-2.

Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik completed 30 of 54 passes for 320 yards, two interceptions, 20 carries for 51 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Will Shipley had 17 carries for 72 yards, and wide receiver Joseph Ngata had eight carries for 84 yards.

Clemson’s defense allowed 375 yards with 69 tackles, four sacks, and four pass breakups, The Tigers finish the season at 11-3.
