Tulane tight end Alex Bauman scores a touchdown in the Cotton Bowl Classic

On Monday afternoon at AT&T Stadium. The Tulane Green Wave (AAC) scored an upset victory over the USC Trojans (PAC 12) by the final score of 46-45 in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt completed eight of seventeen passes for 234 yards, two touchdowns, and 15 carries for 83 yards. Running back Tyjae Spears had 17 carries for 205 yards, four touchdowns, and one catch for 14 yards.

Wide receiver Jha’Quan Jackson (1 catch for 87 yards, 1 touchdown) and tight end Alex Bauman (3 catches for 46 yards, 1 touchdown) combined with four catches for 133 yards, and two touchdowns.

Tulane’s defense allowed 594 yards, with 84 tackles, two pass breakups, and one interception. The Green Wave finishes the season at 12-2.

USC quarterback Caleb Williams completed 37 of 52 passes for 462 yards, five touchdowns, one interception, and four carries for ten yards. Running back Raleek Brown had six carries for 61 yards, one touchdown, and two catches for 24 yards.

Wide receivers Brenden Rice (6 catches for 174 yards, 2 touchdowns), Michael Jackson III (4 catches for 31 yards, 1 touchdown), Terrell Bynum (3 catches for 26 yards, 1 touchdown), and Kyron Hudson (4 catches for 23 yards, 1 touchdown) combined with 17 catches for 254 yards, and five touchdowns.

USC’s defense allowed 539 yards, with 48 tackles, four sacks, and three pass breakups. The Trojans finish the season at 11-3.
