The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed former Nebraska Cornhuskers defensive back Deontai Williams on Monday. The 26-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, attended training camp for the Seattle Seahawks. He played three preseason games making seven tackles.
Collegiately, Williams played four seasons at Nebraska (2018-21) with 122 tackles, one sack, six interceptions, one touchdown, 15 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 29 games. He is a two-time Honorable-Mention All-Big Ten (2020-21).
