The Calgary Stampeders released offensive lineman Julian Good-Jones on Monday to pursue an opportunity in the NFL. According to KPRC’s Aaron Wilson, Good-Jones is expected the sign with the Philadelphia Eagles. Good-Jones played 22 games and two playoff games for the Stampeders in two seasons.
The 25-year-old from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, played 15 games at left tackle helping Calgary reach the Western Semi-Final against the BC Lions.
This will be Good-Jones’s second stint with the Philadelphia Eagles. He signed with them as an undrafted free agent in 2020 but was cut during training camp.
Collegiately, Good-Jones played four seasons at Iowa State (2016-19) playing 49 games at left tackle and center for the Cyclones. In 2017, he was named Arthur Floyd Scott Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award and in 2019 was named First-Team All-Big 12.
