The Reading Royals (22-11-1) continued their four-game homestand on Monday. They took on the Maine Mariners (21-11-2) for the sixth game this year.

Five minutes and forty seconds later. The Mariners made it 2-0 on a power-play goal by Patrick Shea (15). Mitchell Fossier and Gabriel Chicoine assisted with his goal. Maine led 2-0 after one period.
Fifteen minutes and eight seconds into the second period. The Royals cut the Mariners’ lead to 2-1 on a goal by Alec Butcher (7). Mason Millman and Yvan Mongo assisted with his goal. The Mariners led 2-1 after two periods.
Sixteen minutes and twenty-seven seconds into the third period. The Royals tied the game 2-2 on a goal by Devon Paliani (4). Shane Sellar and Dominic Cormier assisted with his goal. Less than a minute later.
Maine got the goal back by Fedor Gordeev (6) on the power-play to make it 3-2. Reid Stefanson and Nick Master assisted with his goal. Finally with ten seconds left. Patrick Shea (16) put the game away with an empty net goal for a 5-2 win. Alex Kile assisted with his goal.
The Royals finished the afternoon with 26 shots, 0/4 on the power-play, and Nolan Maier made 31 saves. On the other side, the Mariners had 35 shots, 2/5 on the power-play, and Michael DiPietro made 24 saves.
