Tyrone Hill Jr. returning a fumble for a touchdown in the 2018 Dollar General Bowl

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed former Washington State defensive back Tyrone Hill Jr. on Monday. The 25-year-old from Passaic, New Jersey, took part in the 2022 Pro Day tryout with several NFL teams including the Bengals and Rams.

Collegiately, Hill played four seasons at Buffalo (2017-20) with 148 tackles, 20 pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, and one blocked kick in 37 games for the Bulls.

In his final season in Buffalo, Hill made 31 tackles, six pass breakups, and one blocked kick. He was named All-MAC Second Team in 2019.

In 2018, he returned a 93-yard fumble for a touchdown in the Dollar General Bowl against Troy. Then, Hill transferred to Washington State in 2021 with 20 tackles and two pass breakups for Cougars.
