The Calgary Stampeders and linebacker Cameron Judge agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2024 season on Thursday. The 28-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, had 80 tackles, five sacks, two interceptions, two touchdowns, and two forced fumbles in 17 games in 2022.
The Stampeders acquired Judge from the Toronto Argonauts on February 17th, 2021, for a Royce Metchie. This will be Judge’s second season in Calgary. In 2021, Judge played nine games with 14 tackles in his first and only season in Toronto.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders drafted Judge in the first round (2nd pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft out of UCLA. In three seasons with the Riders, Judge played 38 games with 102 tackles, 25 tackles, seven sacks, two interceptions, one touchdown, and two forced fumbles.
Collegiately, Judge played four seasons (2013-16) at UCLA with 46 tackles, one interception, two pass blocks, and one forced fumble in 47 games for the Bruins.
