The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed former North Texas wide receiver Darvin Kidsy Jr. on Thursday. The 27-year-old from Missouri City, Texas, was with the Houston Gamblers (USFL) for one week in 2022 before being released. He did not play a game.
Collegiately, Kidsy Jr. played three seasons at North Texas (2013-15) with 48 catches for 539 yards, two touchdowns, 18 kick returns for 428 yards, one touchdown, 31 punt returns for 265 yards, and two touchdowns in 36 games for the Mean Green.
Then, Kidsy Jr. transferred to Texas Southern University (2016-17) with 38 catches for 519 yards, three touchdowns, five punt returns for 16 yards, and two tackles in 12 games for the Tigers.
The Washington Redskins signed Kidsy Jr. as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He played two seasons in Washington. In the preseason, he made 19 catches for 235 yards, and one touchdown in seven games. In the regular season, Kidsy Jr. made one catch for eight yards in five games.
After Washington, Kidsy Jr. signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2020 and signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2022.
