The Reading Royals (24-11-1) started a three-game road trip on Saturday night. They took on the Norfolk Admirals (6-29-3) for the sixth time this year from the Norfolk Scope Arena.

The Royals defeated the Admirals by the final score of 5-1. Reading finished the night with 43 shots, 1/7 on the power-play, and Nolan Maier made 17 saves. On the other side, the Admirals had 18 shots, 0/5 on the power-play, and Tomas Vomacka made 38 saves.
The Royals continue their three-game road trip next Wednesday. They will play the Trois-Rivieres Lions from the Colisée Vidéotron at 7 pm.
