The Edmonton Elks released defensive back Jeffrey Carter on Thursday. The 22-year-old from Mansfield, Texas, signed with the Elks after the 2022 CFL season concluded.
Collegiately, he played three games at Alabama in 2019 with one tackle. Then, Carter transferred to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 2020 with 13 tackles and six pass breakups in five games with the Bulldogs. Then, Carter transferred to Arkansas State but never play a game with the Red Wolves.
