Reading’s winning streak reaches three games over Trois-Rivieres

The Reading Royals (25-11-1) continued their three-game road trip on Wednesday night. They visited the Colisée Vidéotron to take on the Trois-Rivieres Lions (14-22-2) for the third time this year. The Royals came into this game 7-3 in their last ten games.

Eleven minutes and fifteen seconds into the first period. Mason Millman (6) put the Royals up 1-0. Devon Paliani and Adrien Beraldo assisted with his goal. A minute and twenty-nine seconds later. The Lions tied the game 1-1 on a goal by William Leblanc (7). Francis Thibeault and Nicolas Guay assisted with his goal. The game remained tied 1-1 after one period.

After a scoreless second period. Yvan Mongo (3) put the Royals back up 2-1 eight minutes and thirty-four seconds into the third period. Shane Sellar assisted with his goal. Then with forty seconds left. Charlie Gerard (16) scored an empty net goal to put the game away by the final score of 3-1. Colin Felix assisted with his goal.

The Royals finished the night with 26 shots, 0/1 on the power play, and Nolan Maier made 23 saves. On the other side, the Lions had 24 saves, 0/1 on the power play, and Joe Vrbetic made 23 saves.
