The Saskatchewan Roughriders and defensive back Jeremy Clark agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2023 season on Thursday. The 28-year-old from Madisonville, Kentucky, made 32 tackles and one forced fumble in 17 games for the Roughriders in 2022.

This will be Clark’s third season with the Roughriders. In 22 games, Clark has 42 tackles, one interception, and two forced fumbles. In 2020, he played for the Seattle Dragons (XFL) with ten tackles and one interception in four games.

The New York Jets drafted Clark in the sixth round (197th pick) in the 2017 NFL Draft. Clark spent two seasons between the Jets practice squad and roster in which he played two games.

Collegiately, Clark played four seasons at Michigan (2013-16) with 50 tackles, three interceptions, and ten pass breakups in 36 games for the Wolverines. In his final season, Clark had 11 tackles and three pass breakups before an ACL injury sidelined him for the rest of the season.
