The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed former Arkansas State wide receiver Omar Bayless, and former Laval offensive lineman Nicolas Guay on Friday.
Omar Bayless, a 26-year-old from Laurel, Mississippi, most recently spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022. In 2021, he was on the Carolina Panthers practice squad.
Collegiately, Bayless played four seasons at Arkansas State (2016-19) with 176 catches for 2,764 yards, and 26 touchdowns in 48 games for the Red Wolves. In his final season, Bayless had 93 catches for 1,653 yards, and 17 touchdowns in 13 games.
In 2017, Bayless was named Sun Belt player of the year after making 32 catches for 439 yards, and six touchdowns in 11 games.
Nicolas Guay, a 26-year-old from Quebec, Quebec City, was drafted by the Ticats in the seventh round (64th pick) in the 2022 CFL Draft. He attended the Ticats training camp in 2022. Collegiately, Guay played four seasons at Laval (2017-21) where he helped Laval win the 2018 Vanier Cup and was named U SPORTS and RSEQ offensive All-Star in 2021.
