Collegiately, Lewis played four seasons at Houston Christian University (2013-16) with 76 catches for 994 yards, six touchdowns, and two carries for six yards in 34 games for the Huskies. In his final season, Lewis had 22 catches for 325 yards, one touchdown, and two carries for six yards in nine games.
