The Reading Royals acquired forward Brett Boeing from the Toledo Walleye on Sunday for defenseman Adrien Beraldo.
Brett Boeing, a 28-year-old from Barrington, Illinois, has three goals and seven assists (10 points) in 32 games for the Walleye this year. In two and a half seasons in Toledo, Boeing had four goals and 14 assists (18 points) in 68 games. In addition, he had two goals and three assists (5 points) in 19 playoff games helping the Walleye win the Brabham Cup in the 2021-22 season.
Boeing played three seasons for the Dubuque Fighting Saints (USHL) with 44 goals and 48 assists (92 points) in 143 games. In addition, he had three goals and 12 assists (15 points) in 27 playoff games.
Collegiately, Boeing played one season at Michigan Tech (2015) with one goal and five assists (6 points) in 11 games for the Huskies. Then, Boeing transferred to the University of Massachusetts (2016-18) with 13 goals and 18 assists (31 points) in 90 games for the Minutemen.
Adrien Beraldo, a 23-year-old from Stoney Creek, Ontario, had three assists for the Royals this year. Last season, he played for the Iowa Heartlanders and scored four goals and 11 assists (15 points) in 49 games. In addition, he played six games for the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.
Beraldo played four seasons in the OHL with the Peterborough Petes, Kingston Frontenacs, and Niagara IceDogs, scoring 16 goals and 31 assists (47 points) in 164 games.
His best season in the OHL came during the 2019-20 season with the Niagara IceDogs, with five goals and 18 assists (23 points) in 45 games.
