Royals give up three unanswered goals in a loss to Worcester

The Reading Royals (25-12-2) returned to the Santander Arena on Saturday night. They took on the Worcester Railers (22-17-3) in a rematch from Friday night.

Fourteen minutes and four seconds into the first period. Charlie Gerard (18) put the Royals up 1-0. Shane Sellar assisted with his goal. A minute and twenty-eight seconds later. Devon Paliani (6) made it 2-0 Royals. Colin Felix and Brendan Hoffmann assisted with his goal.

With 52 seconds left. Quin Ryan (12) scored a power play goal. It was now 2-1 Royals. Collin Adams and Ryan MacKinnon assisted with his goal. The Royals led 2-1 after one period.

Two minutes and fifty-seven seconds into the second period. Anthony Repaci (8) scored that tied the game 2-2. Trevor Cosgrove and Christian Evers assisted with his goal. The game remained tied 2-2 after two periods.

Eleven minutes and twenty-nine seconds into the third period. Former Royal Ryan MacKinnon (2) put the game away for a 3-2 win. Reece Newkirk and Andrei Bakanov assisted with his goal.

The Royals finished the night with 33 shots, 0/2 on the power play, and Nolan Maier made 27 saves. On the other side, the Railers had 30 shots, 1/4 on the power play, and Brent Moran made 31 saves.
