The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and fullback Myles Manalo agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2023 season on Tuesday. The 23-year-old from Burlington, Ontario, played nine games for the Ticats last season with no stats.

The Ticats drafted Manalo in the sixth round (54th pick) in the 2021 CFL Draft. In his rookie year, Manalo played three games for the Ticats in 2021. This will be Manalo’s third season in Hamilton.

Collegiately, Manalo played two seasons at the University of Western Ontario (2017, 2019) as a linebacker with 70 tackles, one interception, three pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 21 games for the Mustangs. In his final season, Manalo made 60 tackles, one interception, three pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in ten games.
