The Reading Royals (26-13-2) returned to the Santander Arena on Saturday night. They took on the Adirondack Thunder (15-20-6) for the seventh time this season. Reading was 4-2 in the season series going into this game.

Nine minutes and nine seconds into the first period. The Royals took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Charlie Gerard (19). Max Newton and Garrett McFadden assisted with his goal. Eight minutes and twenty-two seconds later. Jacob Gaucher (12) scored a shorthanded goal to make 2-0 Royals.

Twenty-one seconds later. Shawn Weller (7) scored for the Thunder. It was now 2-1 Royals. Matt Stief and Xavier Parent assisted with his goal. The Royals led 2-1 after one period.

Two minutes and four seconds into the second period. Jacob Gaucher (13) made it 3-1 Royals. Alec Butcher and Brett Boeing assisted with his goal. Three minutes and nine seconds later. Yvan Mongo (4) added another goal for the Royals. It was 4-1. Dominic Cormier assisted with his goal. The Royals led 4-1 after two periods.

Nine minutes and twenty-nine seconds into the third period. Max Newton (21) added another goal for Reading. It was now 5-1 and Evan Barratt assisted with his goal.

Five minutes and three seconds later. Colin Felix (4) made it 6-1 with assists from Tyler Kirkup and Will MacKinnon. The Royals won the game by the final score of 6-1. They are now 5-2 against the Thunder this year.

The Royals finished the night with 30 shots, 0/3 on the power play, and Kaden Fulcher made 20 saves. On the other side, the Thunder had 21 shots, 1/4 on the power play, and Jake Theut made nine saves.
