The BC Lions signed former Portland State linebacker Robert Holt on Tuesday. The 23-year-old from Sacramento, California, had 29 tackles, three sacks, one interception, two pass breakups, and one blocked kick in nine games for the Vikings in 2022.
In week three against Montana, Holt had a career-high eight tackles. Holt played five seasons for Portland State (2018-22) with 77 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions, seven pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two blocked kicks in 34 games.
Holt attended Monterey Trail High School and was named All-League in football twice, All-Metro first team, and second-team All-NorCal honors. In addition to football, Holt played basketball, baseball, and track.
