Calgary Stampeders signs former Colorado wide receiver Tony Brown

The Calgary Stampeders signed former Colorado wide receiver Tony Brown on Thursday. The 25-year-old from Norwalk, California, spent time on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats practice squad. He played two preseason games with two catches for 25 yards.

The Ticats signed Brown as a free agent on August 10th, 2022. Before joining Hamilton, Brown spent time with the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and the Washington Football Team (now Commanders).

Collegiately, Brown played two seasons at Texas Tech (2015-16) with 26 catches for 373 yards, one touchdown, and one kick return for 15 yards in 23 games for the Red Raiders. Then, he transferred to Colorado (2018-19) with 88 catches for 1,040 yards, six touchdowns, six carries for 33 yards, and one touchdown in 24 games for the Buffaloes.
