The Reading Royals (27-15-3) returned to the DCU Center on Saturday night. They took on the Worcester Railers (24-21-3) for the second time in two nights. The Royals were on a three-game losing streak and four straight the Railers. Both streaks came to an end on Saturday night.

Thirty-four seconds into the first period. Devon Paliani (8) scored for the Royals to take a 1-0 lead. Brendan Hoffmann and Yvan Mongo assisted with his goal. Three minutes and three seconds later. Evan Barratt (5) scored. It was 2-0 Royals. Charlie Gerard and Devon Paliani assisted with his goal.

Eleven minutes and twenty-five seconds later. Max Newton (22) added another goal for the Royals. It was 3-0. Charlie Gerard assisted with his goal. The Royals led 3-0 after one period. Reading had ten shots in the first period.

After a scoreless second period. Worcester’s Anthony Repaci (13) ended the shutout with a power play goal. It was now 3-1. Trevor Cosgrove and Jacob Hayhurst assisted with his goal.

Ten seconds later. Reading got the goal back by Alec Butcher (10). It was 4-1 Royals. Jordan Timmons and Jacob Gaucher assisted with his goal. Fourteen minutes and thirty seconds later. Worcester’s Brent Beaudoin (13) scored a shorthanded goal. Reading led 4-2. Trevor Cosgrove assisted with his goal.

The Royals went on to win the game by the final score of 4-2. They snapped a three-game losing streak as well as a four-game losing streak to Worcester.

The Royals finished the night with 37 shots, 0/5 on the power play, and Kaden Fulcher made 36 saves. On the other side, the Railers had 38 shots, 1/5 on the power play, and Henrik Tikkanen made 33 saves.
