The B.C. Lions and wide receiver Dominique Rhymes agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2023 season on Monday. The 29-year-old from Miami, Florida, made 85 catches for 1,401 yards, and 11 touchdowns in 18 games for the Lions in 2022.

This will be Rhymes’ third season in British Columbia. In two seasons, Rhymes has 113 catches for 1,812 yards, and 12 touchdowns in 26 games for the Lions. He signed with the Lions as a free agent in 2020. He spent his first three seasons with the Ottawa Redblacks. He has played 44 games in four seasons with 130 catches for 1,989 yards and seven touchdowns.

Collegiately, Rhymes played four seasons at Florida International (2011-14) with 28 catches for 317 yards, and one kick return for 15 yards in 32 games for the Panthers.
