The B.C. Lions signed former Liberty defensive back Elijah Benton, former Iowa defensive back Xavior Williams, and former North Carolina running back Antonio Williams on Monday.

Elijah Benton, a 26-year-old from Forest, Virginia, was with the Tennessee Titans in 2022. In addition, he played one game for the Cleveland Browns in 2020. He also had brief stints with the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, and New York Jets.

Collegiately, Benton played four seasons at Liberty (2016-19) with 85 tackles, one sack, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 26 games for the Flames.

Xavior Williams, a 25-year-old from Burlington, Iowa, attended rookie minicamp for the Green Bay Packers in 2022. Collegiately, Williams played three seasons at Northern Iowa (2017-19) with 118 tackles, eight interceptions, one touchdown, 32 pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, 35 kick returns for 809 yards, and 27 punt returns for 136 yards in 35 games for the Panthers.

He was named Freshman All-America by HERO (first team) and Phil Steele (second) in 2017, and a two-time first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference. Then, Williams transferred to Iowa in 2021. He made 2.5 tackles in two games for the Hawkeyes.

Antonio Williams, a 25-year-old from New London, North Carolina, played two games with the New York Giants before going back to the practice squad. He signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and played one game with 12 carries for 63 yards, two touchdowns, and one catch for 20 yards.

Collegiately, Williams played two seasons at Ohio State (2016-17) with 63 carries for 318 yards, three touchdowns, and five catches for 25 yards in 13 games. Then, he transferred to North Carolina (2018-19) with 139 carries for 826 yards, eight touchdowns, 18 catches for 135 yards, and two kick returns for 32 yards in 22 games for the Tar Heels. In the 2019 Military Bowl, Williams had five carries for 16 yards, and two touchdowns in a 55-13 win over Temple.
