In 2022, Awe returned to the B.C. Lions. He made one tackle in one game before requesting his release which the Lions granted. Shortly after his release, he signed with the Alouettes.

Collegiately, Awe played four seasons at Texas Tech (2012-15) with 237 tackles, 1.5 sacks, six pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 46 games for the Red Raiders.
