The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed former South Dakota State defensive back Jordan Brown and former Kansas State punter Devin Anctil on Tuesday.
Jordan Brown, a 26-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska, spent time on the New Orleans Saints practice squad in 2022. The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Brown in the seventh round (223rd pick) in the 2019 NFL Draft but was waived during final roster cuts.
Then, Brown had brief stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders, and Washington Football Team (now Commanders).
Collegiately, Brown played four seasons at South Dakota State (2015-18) with 148 tackles, eight interceptions, 35 pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and two kick returns for 25 yards in 51 games for the Jackrabbits. He is a two-time All-Missouri Valley Football Conference First Team and served as the team captain in 2018.
Devin Anctil, a 25-year-old from Lenexa, Kansas, took part in the Nick Novack Showcase in 2022. Collegiately, Anctil played one season at Coffeyville Community College. He earned First-Team all-region and all-conference honors.
Anctil averaged 37.59 yards on 46 punts during the 2015 season, including a season-long of 55 yards against Ellsworth CC and Hutchinson CC. In addition, Anctil converted 31 extra points.
Then, Anctil transferred to Kansas State (2017-19) averaging 44.80 yards on 83 punts for a total of 3,718 yards in 20 games with the Wildcats. In addition, Anctil had 12 kickoffs for 689 yards (57.4) with three touchbacks. Anctil was selected to the Second Team All-Big 12 in 2019.
