The Calgary Stampeders signed 2017 Grey Cup champion offensive lineman Jamal Campbell to a one-year contract through the 2023 season on Thursday. The 29-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, played 12 games, including two starts at right tackle for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2022.

The Toronto Argonauts drafted Campbell in the third round (22nd pick) in the 2016 CFL Draft. Campbell played 59 games, including 20 starts at right tackle. He even caught a touchdown pass in 2019 from McLeod Bethel-Thompson against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Campbell is a member of the 2017 Toronto Argonauts Grey Cup championship team when they beat the Calgary Stampeders 27-24 in the 105th Grey Cup in Ottawa.

Collegiately, Campbell played four seasons at York University (2012-15). He started his first two seasons as a defensive lineman before switching to the offensive line for his final two seasons playing right tackle and left tackle. He made 20 tackles and one sack in 27 games for the Lions. In addition, Campbell participated in the 2015 East-West Bowl in 2014.
