The B.C. Lions signed former North Carolina A&T defensive back Najee Reams on Monday. The 25-year-old from Durham, North Carolina, attended the Vegas Vipers (XFL) training camp and attended rookie mini-camp of the Detroit Lions.
Collegiately, Reams played five seasons at North Carolina A&T (2016-19, 2021) in football and track and field. In football, Reams made 107 tackles, one interception, nine pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 39 games for the Aggies.
In his final season, Reams made 43 tackles, three pass breakups, and one forced fumble in nine games. Furthermore, Reams helped the Aggies win four MEAC championships, three Celebration Bowls, and three HBCU national titles.
In track and field, Reams qualified for the NCAA Division I Championships in the 4×400 meter relay in 2017. He also helped his teammates win the 4×4 MEAC outdoor title along with the men’s track and field team winning the outdoor conference championship in 2017.
