Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive back Tristan Fleury retired on Wednesday according to the CFL Transactions page.

The 25-year-old from Deux-Montagnes, Quebec, attended the Roughriders training camp in 2022 after being selected in the fourth round (36th pick) in the 2022 CFL Draft.

Instead, Fleury returned to McGill for his final season. He made 41 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble in seven games for the Redbirds.

Collegiately, Fleury played five seasons at McGill University (2017-22) with 164 tackles, 2.5 sacks, three interceptions, 11 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 40 games. He was named a team captain in the 2021 season, participated in the Eastern Regional Combine, and was selected for both the 2020 and 2021 East-West Bowl.
