The B.C. Lions signed former Delaware State linebacker Brooks Parker on Wednesday. The 23-year-old from Laurel, Delaware, made 63 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, and three pass breakups in 11 games for the Hornets in 2022. He was named Defensive MVP in the HBCU Pigskin Showdown All-Star Game.

Parker played four seasons at Delaware State (2019-22) with 160 tackles, 28.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, five pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and one kick return for 12 yards in 36 games.

In his freshmen season, Parker was named All-MEAC Second Team selection after making 58 tackles, one sack, one pass breakup, one fumble recovery, and three quarterback hits in 12 games. He was the team leader in tackles and ranked 23rd in the MEAC.

In 2021, he was on the watchlist of the Black College Football Player of the Year after making 37 tackles, 4.5 tackles of loss, half a sack, and one pass breakup in ten games. In addition, he was named Preseason All-MEAC First Team and the 2021-22 MEAC Academic All-Star.
