Former Eagles running back Miles Sanders signs with the Carolina Panthers

Former Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders signed a four-year contract worth $25 million with the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday. The 25-year-old from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, had 259 carries for 1,269 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 20 catches for 78 yards in 17 games, of which 15 were starts.

Miles Sanders played four seasons in Philadelphia with 739 carries for 3,708 yards, 20 touchdowns, 124 catches for 942 yards, and three touchdowns in 57 games, of which 49 were starts. He was selected to his first Pro Bowl in 2022 and was named PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2019. The Eagles drafted Sanders in the second round (53rd pick) in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Collegiately, Sanders played three seasons at Penn State (2016-18) with 276 carries for 1,649 yards, 12 touchdowns, 32 catches for 193 yards, one touchdown, and 38 kick returns for 764 yards in 38 games for the Nittany Lions.

He was named Second Team All-Big Ten in 2018. Sanders became the 45th player in Penn State history to rush for more than 1,000 yards and ranked 25th all-time with 1,649 rushing yards.
