Three players have two-point nights in a Royals win

The Reading Royals (35-20-4) continued their three-game homestand on Saturday night against the Atlanta Gladiators (31-25-6) for the second time this year. Coming into this game, the Royals led the season series 1-0.

Eleven minutes and forty seconds into the first period, Tyler Heidt (1) put the Royals up 1-0. Evan Barratt and Max Newton assisted with his goal. The Royals had 18 shots on goal and led 1-0 after one period.

Twelve minutes and fifty seconds into the second period, Evan Barratt (18) extended the Royals’ lead to 2-0. Alec Butcher and Colin Felix assisted with his goal. The Royals had 13 shots on goal and led 2-0 after two periods.

Eight minutes and fifteen seconds into the third period, Alec Butcher (16) scored a power play goal to make it 3-0 Royals. Tyler Heidt and Mason Millman assisted with his goal. Evan Barratt, Tyler Heidt, and Alec Butcher each finished the night with two points.

In a span of four minutes and fifty-three seconds, the Gladiators scored two goals by Billy Constantinou (6) and Sanghoon Shin (25) to make it a one-goal game, 3-2. The Royals held on to beat the Gladiators by the final score of 3-2. They had eight shots in the third period.

The Royals finished the night with 39 shots on goal, 1-6 on the power play, and Pat Nagle made 38 saves. On the other side, the Gladiators had 40 shots, 0-2 on the power play, and Tyler Harmon made 36 saves.
