Calgary Stampeders signs former Memphis OL Brandon Murphy

The Calgary Stampeders signed former Memphis offensive lineman Brandon Murphy on Tuesday. The 27-year-old from Montgomery, Alabama, was on the Stampeders’ practice squad for the final month of the season in 2022.

In addition, he was drafted by the Orlando Guardians in the first round (5th pick) in phase four of the 2022 XFL Draft. Furthermore, he played for the Sea Lions (TSL) in 2021.

Collegiately, Murphy played one season at Memphis (2019) as a defensive lineman. Murphy played college basketball at Indiana State (2014-17) averaging 4.7 points per game, and 3.7 rebounds per game in 114 games, of which 70 were starts for the Sycamores.
