The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed former University of Calgary punter Christopher MacLean on Thursday. MacLean went undrafted in the 2022 CFL Draft.

The 23-year-old from Brampton, Ontario, led the nation with 67 punts for 3,118 yards (46.5 AVG). His longest punt went for 75 yards. Furthermore, he had two touchbacks, 11 punts inside the 20-yard line, and 25 punts for 50-plus yards.

In addition, he had nine kickoffs for 447 yards and made one of three field goals (33.3%) in eight games for the Dinos in 2022. He was named First Team All-Canadian.

Before the Dinos, MacLean played three seasons at the University of Toronto (2018-19, 2021) with 86 punts for 3,506 yards (40.8 AVG). His longest punt went for 68 yards in 2021.

Furthermore, he has one touchback inside the 20-yard line, 27 punts inside the 20-yard line, eight punts for 50-plus yards, 25 kickoffs for 1,290 yards, one touchback, and made 9 of 14 field goals (64.3%), and had eight carries for 102 yards in 14 games for the Varsity Blues.
