The Reading Royals signed former Lindenwood University forward Ryan Finnegan on Friday. The 25-year-old from Tecumseh, Kansas, scored six goals and fourteen assists (20 points) in 29 games for the Lions.
Finnegan played four games for the Green Bay Gamblers (USHL) with one assist. Then, he played in the BCHL for two seasons with the Merritt Centennials and Alberni Valley Bulldogs scoring nine goals and 22 assists (31 points) in 69 games. In addition, he scored two goals and two assists (4 points) in five playoff games.
In addition, he played a season for the New Jersey Hitmen (USPHL Premier) scoring seven goals and 13 assists (20 points) in 26. In 2017, he played for the Jersey Hitmen (NCDC) scoring 17 goals and 27 assists (44 points) in 47 games. Furthermore, he scored three goals and eight assists (11 points) in nine playoff games.
Collegiately, Finnegan played five seasons at Lindenwood University (2018-22) scoring 41 goals and 89 assists (130 points) in 97 games for the Lions in the ACHA (2018-21) and NCAA (2022). Furthermore, he scored nine goals and 14 assists (23 points) in nine playoff games.
In the 2021-22 season, Finnegan scored ten goals and 25 assists (35 points) in 20 games. Then, he scored a goal and five assists (6 points) in four playoff games as the Lions won the ACHA Championship.
