Calgary Stampeders sign former Alouettes defensive lineman Mike Moore

The Calgary Stampeders signed veteran defensive lineman Mike Moore on Saturday. The 29-year-old from Hyattsville, Maryland, made 31 tackles, six sacks, and one forced fumble in 18 games for the Alouettes in 2022.

Moore was released by the Alouettes in February. Montreal acquired him in 2021 from the Edmonton Elks for OL Tony Washington and RB Martese Jackson.

In 2016, Moore signed with the Ottawa Redblacks as a free agent. He played one season for the Redblacks with ten tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble in eight tackles.

Then, Moore signed with the Edmonton Eskimos/Elks in 2017. He played four seasons in Edmonton with 59 tackles and 15 sacks in 40 games. In 2019, Moore was named a West Division All-Star after making 23 tackles and nine sacks in 17 games.

Collegiately, Moore played four seasons at Virginia (2012-15) with 113 tackles, 12 sacks, three forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in 48 games for the Cavaliers.
