The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed former Northwest Oklahoma State wide receiver Gavin Garner and former University of Toronto offensive lineman Tyler Grisolia on Thursday.

Gavin Garner is six foot five and weighs 220 pounds. The 25-year-old from Newcastle, Oklahoma, attended the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints rookie minicamps in 2022.

Collegiately, Garner played five seasons at Northwest Oklahoma State (2016-19, 2021) with 149 catches for 2,414 yards, 25 touchdowns, six carries for 71 yards, and one punt return for seven yards in 40 games for the Rangers.

In his final season, Garner caught 58 passes for 1,099 yards, 12 touchdowns, and four carries for 71 yards in 11 games. He was named Don Hansen’s NCAA Division II Honorable Mention All-American.

Tyler Grisolia is six foot three and weighs 305 pounds. The 24-year-old from Richmond Hill, Ontario, recently participated in the CFL regional combine at Waterloo University.

Collegiately, Grisolia began at the University of Guelph in 2017. Then, he transferred to the University of Toronto (2018-22) and redshirted. In 2019, he played eight games for the Varsity Blues. Toronto’s offensive line helped the offense average 27.25 points per game, 409.3 yards per game, 3,274 total yards, and 27 touchdowns.

In 2022, Grisolia played seven games. The Varsity Blues’ offensive line helped the team average 22 points per game, 334.7 yards per game, 3,012 total yards, and 21 touchdowns. Grisolia was named Varsity Blues lineman of the year.

Grisolia attended St. Francis High School (New York) and helped them win the 2015 State championship. Furthermore, he earned multiple All-Star honors as an offensive lineman in 2016, including being named First Team All-New York State by USA Today and First Team All-Western NY by the Buffalo News.
