The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed former Old Dominion defensive back Roger Cray Jr. on Thursday. Roger Cray Jr. is five foot nine and weighs 175 pounds.

The 24-year-old from Lake City, Florida, was with the Seattle Sea Dragons (XFL) in 2023 after Seattle drafted him in the 21st round (74th pick) in the 2022 XFL Draft. Before the XFL, Cray Jr. signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2022.

Collegiately, Cray Jr. played four seasons at Western Kentucky (2017-20) with 75 tackles, four tackles for loss, three interceptions for 12 yards, 19 pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and 11 punt returns for 52 yards in 41 games for the Hilltoppers. In his final season, Cray Jr. made 24 tackles, two tackles for loss, nine pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in nine games.

Then, he transferred to Old Dominion in 2021 with 39 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception for 16 yards, 13 pass breakups, one kick return for 21 yards, and ten punt returns for 97 yards in 11 games for the Monarchs.

He was a Conference USA Honorable Mention. He led Conference USA and tied for 11th in the country with 1.2 passes defended per game. His 13 pass breakups was the second most in a single season in program history.
