The B.C. Lions released wide receiver Devin Lucien on Friday. Devin Lucien is six foot two and weighs 200 pounds. The 29-year-old from Los Angeles, California, signed with the Lions in December after spending time with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2020 but never suited up as the season was canceled.

The New England Patriots drafted Lucien in the seventh round (225th pick) in the 2016 NFL Draft. He spent his rookie year on the practice squad. Later, he signed with the Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In 2019, he signed with the Arizona Hotshots (AAF) but was traded to the Memphis Express, playing five games with nine catches for 113 yards, and one touchdown before the league ceased operations.

Collegiately, Lucien played four seasons at UCLA (2011-14) with 58 catches for 752 yards, four touchdowns, and two carries for 37 yards in 34 games, of which nine were starts for the Bruins. Then, he transferred to Arizona State in 2015 with 66 catches for 1,074 yards, eight touchdowns, and one kick return for 39 yards in 13 games for the Sun Devils.
