Lehigh Valley Phantoms to play Charlotte in Calder Cup Playoffs

The American Hockey League (AHL) officially ended the 2022-23 season on Sunday. One pivotal matchup that took place was the Springfield Thunderbirds at the Providence Bruins.

A win for Springfield would give them third place and face the Phantoms, who finished the season on a three-game losing streak. As it turned out, the Thunderbirds lost the Bruins 7-3 thus Providence won the Atlantic Division and Springfield will be the fourth seed.

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms will play the Charlotte Checkers in the first round of the 2023 Calder Cup Playoffs. The Phantoms and Checkers tied the season series 4-4.

Due to geographical standards, all first-round games will be played at the Bojangles Coliseum beginning on Tuesday, April 18^th, at 7 pm.

Game two will be on Thursday at 7 pm, and if necessary, game three will be on Friday at 7 pm. Tickets for the series are available on StubHub and Viagogo.
