Calgary Stampeders and punter Cody Grace agreed to a two-year contract extension

The Calgary Stampeders and punter Cody Grace agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2024 season on Thursday. Cody Grace is six foot two and weighs 257 pounds.

The 27-year-old from Perth, Australia, led the CFL in net punting with 82 punts for 3,256 yards (48.2 AVG) in 15 games for Calgary in 2022. He was named a CFL West All-Star and CFL All-Star in 2022.

“We’re excited to have Cody for an additional season with the Red and White,” said Stampeders general manager and head coach Dave Dickenson. “He’s a great asset to our team and our city.”

The Stampeders drafted Grace in the first round (7th pick) of the 2021 CFL Global Draft. In his rookie season, Grace led the CFL in net punting with 78 punts for 3,240 yards (45.6 AVG) in 14 games. He was named CFL West All-Star in 2021. In two seasons with Calgary, Grace has 160 punts for 6,496 yards (46.9 AVG) in 29 games.

Collegiately, Grace played three seasons at Arkansas State (2017-19) with 178 punts for 7,487 yards (42.1 AVG) in 37 games for the Red Wolves.
