The Philadelphia Eagles signed former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus on Wednesday as reported by Adam Schefter and the Katz Brothers. Olamide Zaccheaus is five foot eight and weighs 180 pounds. Zaccheaus played high school at St. Joseph’s Preparatory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The 25-year-old from Plainfield, New Jersey, caught 40 passes for 533 yards, three touchdowns, and two carries for seven yards in 17 games for the Falcons in 2022. Zaccheaus signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2019.
He played four seasons with the Falcons making 94 catches for 1,328 yards, eight touchdowns, four carries for nine yards, two kick returns for 55 yards, three punt returns for 36 yards, and seven tackles in 55 games.
Collegiately, Zaccheaus played four seasons at Virginia (2015-18) with 250 catches for 2,753 yards, 22 touchdowns, 79 carries for 551 yards, two touchdowns, 35 kick returns for 686 yards, and five punt returns for 34 yards in 60 games for Cavaliers.
In his senior season, he led the ACC with 93 catches for 1,058 yards, nine touchdowns, and 16 carries for 83 yards. In the 2018 Belk Bowl, Zaccheaus was named MVP after making 12 catches for 100 yards, three touchdowns, and one carry for ten yards. He was named First Team All-ACC in 2018, and Second Team All-ACC in 2017.
